I help run a local group as well as a member of another group which equals to approx 300 people and we used to frequent this place a lot, until the past 2 visits I will never be back. We come in on a Sat evening for drinks( 8people) and to dance and we stood at the Hostess post for 20 minutes and never was approached, but as soon as some regulars came in they went right past us and seated them, so we went to the bar to get drinks and stood there again 20 minutes not 1 bartender came to the end and waited on us, then when she came and got the order we didn't see a drink for over another 20 minutes. I ended up going to the gas station to get a Coke. Then I am friends with them on FB and got a notice for a recent comedy night and called... I was the 1st person that called to info for this night....yep they didn't know anything when I called if they would be doing tickets or a cover nothing! So they took my name and number and said they would call back which they did and I thanked them. They said no cover no tickets no reservations 1st come 1st serve, so I posted it to my site and we planned on dinner and the show. I show up Thursday night along with the other Organizer to see the entire place reserved! The rude waitress looks and said table for 2 I looked and said no 17 and she said well Im sorry but we cant seat you and I was livid. I asked why she said we are sold out all tables are reserved. I was like well that's real funny when I called the 1st day you guys had it posted and even on your site it clearly says no reservations her response was the comedian told us to take reservations a few days ago....she then went and got the owner and they sat all of us at 4 bar tables in the bay window area where it was so cold you had to wear your coat. Then we asked for menus and she brought us 1 for the entire group. Most of us were served in about 35-45 minutes which the food was good but 2 of our members waited over 1 hr for their food. We were seated so far back that we missed the comedian due to we didn't want to loose our seats since we all ordered dessert. But from what I heard the comedian wasn't good at all and all he did was downgrade Rockford. Its sad because we always thought so highly of this place and recommended it to a lot of people in the area, but now I will spread the word how bad it has become. I used to go there at least 8-10 times a yr with groups since they had some fun events and great food... but time to move onto a different place.

Wonderful fish and chips! Light, crisp, and fork tender...you get a whole filet, not bits and pieces. Great atmosphere and beer selection. A must see!

Went for fish and chips. A little greasy, but not as bad as what I have been served in England. Good size portions and excellent beer selections. One person in our group had steak and liked very much. Only complaint was that we were seated in a cold and drafty part of resturant. We will be returning soon!
